Tegan

Tegan Soros

Tegan lives with her husband in Victoria, B.C., the southern tip of Vancouver Island. She completed her BEd at the University of Victoria and has spent the last nine years as a Secondary Teacher, specializing in Science, Health, and Inclusive Education. With a strong desire to keep up with her students, she is always trying innovative ways to use technology in the classroom, finding that mobile games have great potential as engaging and effective learning platforms. When not teaching, Tegan and her husband spend as much time as possible being active outdoors, or battling over a game of crib.

Steven

Steve Su

Steve lives in Vancouver, BC. He used to work as a Financial services manager in BMO. Currently, he is an English teacher for pre-school children in China. After completing a Bachelor's degree in Leadership, Steve is currently pursuing a Master's of Educational Technology at UBC. Steve and his wife enjoy playing golf, tennis and work out together when they are not working. His passion is to create an immersion teaching environment with gamification and educational technologies. He believes that effective engagement and interaction with students is the key to bring positive learning experiences.

Asha

Asha Pippo

Asha lives in Toronto, ON with her husband, two sons and their dog. She is a Francophone and worked as a French immersion teacher for many years. She’s now a Vice Principal with the Peel District School Board. When not working, she spends her time at endless sporting events for her boys who play hockey, football, soccer, volleyball and ball hockey. She is always interested in finding new ways to use technology in schools to improve student learning and to improve the equity of outcomes for students and most importantly to make learning fun!

Analesa Crooks-Eadie

Ana lives in British Columbia with her husband and two children. She has a Bsc degree in Computer Science and in Education, she has worked as a teacher with over 10 years specializing in Computer Science, Math and a variety of subjects from  K-12.

 Creating and designing a new learning experience gets her excited!

Feras

Feras Alachek

  • Feras Alachek

Feras lives in Mississauga, Ontario. He has been an ESL teacher for almost a decade. His recent focus area is preparing students for proficiency tests, such as CELPIP, IELTS, TOEFL, and CAEL, and he is currently pursuing a second Master’s degree in Educational Technology at UBC. Feras spends much time exploring mobile apps and games. "Mobile games can teach us a lot about so many things, the same way kids learn through play," he says.
